Katniss/Gale AU where they run away from Dist. 12, and in another Katniss lived with Peeta's family
ETA: Found!. Here. Thanks to danceprincess20 ♥♥

I've looked practically everywhere for this story and the writer, and I'm starting to think she simply just left the internet and deleted her stories. But I'm giving this shot!

One of her fics was a multi-chapter story where Gale and Katniss decided to run away from District 12. They live in the wilderness, and I remember they had found a radio and soon learned that Peeta was the leader of an uprising against the Capital, I think. I remember that the stress of living together alone was getting to Katniss and Gale. At some point, Katniss was by a river or a lake and she had went into early labor (she wasn't aware that she was pregnant). She miscarried the child, and when Gale found her, he buried the baby under a tree and had carved 'Baby Hawthorne-Everdeen' into the tree. At the end, it was winter time, and Gale and Katniss were sleeping in a cabin they had found. I think they were both sick, but nevertheless, they died in each other's arms from the cold. Peeta and some others (who were looking for them) ended up finding them.

I first saw this story on livejournal because the author had an account in case FFN deleted the story. (Unfortunately, I can't seem to find any traces of her LJ account either, and I've looked on some HG comms where I thought she posted links to the fic, but can't find it on those either!)

I don't know if this will help, but on her FFN account, she also had another AU fic where Katniss lived with Peeta and his family (his parents and his two brothers). Katniss's family had died, leaving her an orphan. Peeta's mother. however, was very abusive to Katniss. Katniss was frequently locked up in the basement in the story. She and Peeta had a sort of a secret, sexual/romantic relationship, and at one point his mother catches them together. Katniss ends up pregnant (I don't think she knew), and so Peeta's mother takes her to this shady place and forces her to have an abortion.

That's all I got. Like I said, I can't find the author on FFN or LJ anymore, so she probably deleted everything. I hope not. It's really bumming me out because both fics were well-written, emotional stories, and it's discouraging if they're not anywhere on the internet anymore.

If anyone knows anything, I'd be very grateful! Thank you xx

I know I read the first one but I can't remember the name. Let me see if I can tell from AO3.

ETA: Pretty sure this is the first one?

No problem, as soon as I heard it, I knew I had read it!

I've been looking for these stories too! The problem is, the link no longer works. What were the name of those two stories, so I can search for them elsewhere? Also, what was the author's name? Was it Alexabee? Because if it was, she recently went on a rampage and deleted everything off of the internet, and I've been desperately searching for anyone who might have saved her works, just for private reading.

I haven't even noticed that the link doesn't work anymore! But yes, it was Alexabee. I know a month or so ago, she posted an update on one her stories saying she was no longer going to continue updating her stories/writing. That was the only thing she posted, and then I guess she deleted all her stories soon after. Her account is here, but there's nothing there (http://archiveofourown.org/users/alexabee/pseuds/alexabee)

I didn't think she was actually going to delete all her stories though so I don't have any saved, I'm sorry :c Really sucks.

Do you have any recommendations for other places to ask around, to see if anyone else happened to save them (or if anyone happens to have any contact information for her, as unlikely as it may be, as she appears to have wiped all evidence of her presence off the face of the internet)? Unfortunately, Archive.org finally hit her page for the first time exactly two days after she deleted all of them, which was a real disappointment.

Hmm. For some reason, my previous comment was marked as spam, with replies disabled. The notification popup said it was "as a result of this community's settings." Why is that? I don't actually use Livejournal that much, so I am kind of a novice, and completely uneducated about these things. I thought it might have been the presence of a link, but you included one in your comment, so...

Anyway, can you read it? If not, I'm basically looking for any recommendations for other places to ask around, on Livejournal or elsewhere.

That's weird, I don't know why, but it let me click that it's not spam so I can see it now.

I'm sorry I can't be much help. The only places I knew her on was livejournal (but she deleted the journal), archive of our own, and fanfiction.net. I checked and her FFN is still up here but it just only shows her favorite stories and a message in her profile. I'm not sure who to ask to see if they saved her stories, unfortunately. You could possibly post a message on the Hunger Games forums on FFN to see if any readers of her happened to save her stories, but I'm not sure what else could be done. :c

Any suggestions of a particular forum on there? I tried looking through the list, but there are 432 pages, and it seems that most of them are RP forums, "create a tribute!" forums, or ones for authors to collaborate and work on their writing. I have no idea how to find one where I could ask such a question. It's funny. For the massive amount of fanfiction I read, the length of time I've been reading it, and the number of fandoms I frequent, I still have very little involvement in the communities, and very little knowledge of the science of finding stories.

That's completely fine. The forums are bit a messier than I thought it'd be (I rarely go on there myself.) I also tried looking the communities section to see if maybe someone made a community similar to this one on livejournal but nothing came up for me.

For the forum thing, you could create your own forum about that specific story, asking if people happened to save it. (If you go to your account and down the left column you'll see 'Forums' and be able to do that.)
I tried using the search engine to see if a specific forum for finding stories would come up, but nothing came up for me :/

Another thing you could try is everlarkrecs.tumblr.com. When I was searching Alexabee on tumblr they came up and apparently have read her fics so you could ask them about it, and/or they can ask the people who are following their blog about it too. You shouldn't need a tumblr account to do that (unless you have one?), but your name will just come up as 'anonymous' and they'll still get it. You'll just have to check the blog every once in a while to check that they answered your question.

Let me know how it goes!
